THIS CHALET

Living area and garden (main floor)

The chalet is situated right next to the privet drive running downward from the “Pond a Pierre,” the street on which the chalet is located. A parking space at the back of the chalet is conveniently located and higher up the privet road more parking spaces available.

The typical Swiss atmosphere of the chalet comes to greet you when you open the door: the wood paneling, the closed veranda to the living area, and of course the view over the valley. The living area is furnished with a 3 seat-sofa, 2 arm-chairs and a coffee table seated around the iron wood-burning fireplace. In the closed veranda there’s a dining table with chairs, a great place to read a book a play games. On the right wall the smart-television and stereo sound system offer the option for entertainment. Of course the chalet is equipped with WiFi.

Via a sliding door the large living kitchen can be separated from the living room. The cooking area of the kitchen is well-equipped: Nespresso, water cooker, micro-wave, dishwasher, fondue set for Swiss cheese fondue and all the regular kitchen equipment, even a Dutch cheese grater!

At the other side of the bar, separating the kitchen from the dining area, the back-wall and corner has a large wooden corner seating area with wooden table and chairs. The dining table easily has room for 8 people and if you wish even more.

Especially in summer, but also in warm winters, the terrace is a real addition to the house. Accessible through opening the garden doors from the kitchen, the terrace is an excellent place for morning, afternoon or evening coffee or drinks and even dinner. Garden chairs and tables will be on the terrace during summer and cushions and more equipment can be found in the garage at the back of the chalet.

On the main floor, near the entrance door there is separate guest-restroom and, when needed, a cupboard filled with cleaning materials and ironing board.

Sleeping area (2nd floor)

From the hallway downstairs a sloping stairs gives access to the second floor on which three bedrooms and a bathroom can be found. All bedrooms are comfortable furnished with enough closet space, a chair, bedside-tables and warm lighting. All windows have the typical Swiss shutters that will protect the room from either light or the cold when closed.

The right bedroom is a twin bedroom at the back of the house. The beds can be pushed together if you wish.

In the middle is the master suite with big bed, comfy down duvets, big pillows and a television at the foot of the bed. Also, from the master door open onto the little balcony. Next to the master suite is the second largest bedroom that also has door opening onto the balcony.

On the left back side of the chalet sits the large and warm bathroom, furnished with a double sink and enough space to store all your toiletries. There’s a toilet and a shower-bath combination.

Usually the chalet is rented out for six persons. However, if you wish in the basement of the chalet there is another fully equipped bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. Other than the bathroom the basement has not been fully furnished yet, however it’s a large space with a bunk bed and a lot of room to play.

The laundry room is also in the basement. Please be aware that Swiss electricity to the washer is stopped between 11 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon to save energy.

The good life

Due to the great positioning, the chalet enjoys the sunlight almost every hour of the day. In the morning you’ll see the sun rise over the mountain across the valley. Over the course of the day the sun will follow the mountains and set on the right side of the chalet behind the mountain called la Saya. All day you’ll be able to enjoy the sun in the closed veranda or on the terrace and garden outside.

Being very comfortable furnished the chalet offers you the possibility to fully relax or functioning as a home base when you want to go skiing, walking or touring the area.
